ABOUT US
UMERI ENGLISH SCHOOL is a unique co-educational secular ad residential school having standard I to x and also primary classes run by UMERI educational trust veliancode, registered under Indian Trust Act. This institution is founded in memory of world renowned Sufi poet and freedom fighter Hazrath Umer Kazi of Veliancode and it is designed to impart a holistic, integrated education to children from different caste, creeds and communities, with a national outlook for the integrity of Bharath and communal harmony. This institution is like a great loving family where children find a sense of belonging. Here, students are considered as unique individuals as well as indispensable links of the social chain.
The institution is located at Veliancode which is about 6 kms south of ponnani and 22 kms north of Guruvayoor on the National highway 17. It has a beautiful building with a nice panoramic environment.
The institution aims at giving the proper directive education including moral education for the total development of every child. Special arrangements have been made to teach Islamic moral studies to the children who belongs to the Muslim community. Being an ideal school greatest emphasis is laid on prompting disciplined cooperate life, character building and physical fitness so as to enable the children to play effective roles as useful members of the society.
